Laura's Snowcation!

On Valentine's weekend, my southern born and raised husband and daughter, as well as myself, set off on the long road to my father's house in NE Pennsylvania. It was the day after his area got hit by Snowmageddan (the storm which dumped ice all over GA and SC) with 25 inches of the white stuff. While we were there, it snowed 6 more inches. This was the first time for Pat and Isabella to experience so much snow! She shoveled for the first time, made her first snow angels and threw her first snowball, while Pat spend hours using the snow blower. He loved it, especially at night with the light! Here are some pics from the trip...

Isabella touches snow for the first time.

She's making her first snow ball, next to a "real" Christmas tree in N. Carolina.

Isabella and I climbing the mountain of snow at the inside end of my father's driveway. This is the accumulation of snow having been plowed during what seems like a forever winter to them.

She was light enough to stay on top and make a nice snow angel...

I, on the other hand, sank into waist-deep snow and struggled to get out (and had fun while doing it:)!
